Our Product Story
|
Aquamarine, a universal symbol of youth, hope and health, blesses those born in March. Aquamarine is a member of the important beryl family, which includes the emerald, but aquamarine is less brittle and more durable than emerald. Aquamarine ranges in color from light blue to bluish green to deep blue, which is the most valuable and desirable color. It is a very wearable gem, clear and brilliant, and, unlike emerald, is available with excellent clarity even in very large sizes, although these are becoming scarce today.
Vermeil (pronounced ver-may) is a combination of precious metals. The inside core is pure sterling silver. The outer coating is of solid, finely crafted 14kt gold. These two precious metals are combined to produce long-lasting jewelry that looks, feels, and endures exactly like pure gold.

Care Recommendations: We do not recommend the use of commercial cleaners on any of the gemstones offered through Sundance Catalog. Avoiding over-exposure to outdoor elements, such as sunlight and heat, will prolong the life of your stone. Periodic cleaning with extremely mild soapy water (lukewarm or cool) and polishing with a soft cloth can keep your gemstone beautiful for years.
