Her rural Iowa upbringing shaped her artistic journey, which expanded as she exposed herself to diverse influences from abroad. These influences came from her parents, from her time at the Art Institute of Colorado and the eclectic community of Santa Barbara she now calls home. A melody of countryside landscapes and handcrafted items from around the world led to a truly unique lens through which Colette sees the world. Her ability to take that vision and integrate it into her craft is an inspiration.
